They tasted and evaluated some samples to find their favourite fruit or vegetable and flavouring. They then designed and made their own space snack. They learnt to use a knife safely to cut thin slices, added their flavouring and cooked them slowly in the oven.

Our staff and pupils had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as some of their favourite book characters. The school was filled with colour, creativity, and plenty of laughter as pupils enjoyed spotting the different costumes. It was a fantastic way to share our love of reading and inspire our children to dive into new stories.

On Monday, they headed to London with much excitement where had the chance to put all their hard work into practice. They had the amazing experience of singing with over 8000 other children in the O2. They spent the afternoon rehearsing and then in the evening, performed to parents and families. They were also treated to performances by various professional artists.

We decided to run a competition to design a special poster to go around our light switches and remind us to switch them off! This week Eco Council came together to judge the entries and, although it was hard to choose, we are pleased to announce that Leon, Jaxon, Lilah and Isobel were our winners! We loved your bold designs and the messages they portrayed. Thank you to everyone who entered and well done again to our four winners.

Year 6 shone brilliantly as they led us through the story of Jesus’ birth with confidence, clarity, and reverence. Their leadership and hard work made the service truly special.

The whole school joined together in singing carols that filled the church with joy and reminded us all of the true meaning of Christmas. It was a heartwarming moment of unity and celebration.

A huge well done to Year 6 for their outstanding effort and maturity—you made us all proud!

We would like to wish every member of our school community a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to F@B for generously funding this event. Their support made it possible for our children to experience the magic of live theatre right here in school. It was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season.

We did numerous investigations to prove this, including using a balloon to feel the vibrations of our voices and tuning forks in bowls of water to see the ripples created by the sound waves. We are now very enthusiastic to continue our science learning all about sound!

We were able to see the breath-taking remains of Roman mosaics whilst exploring the exciting museum.  In our workshops, we were able to practice weaving wool, create mosaics from real tile remains, write our names using the Roman alphabet and even role-play life as a Roman kitchen servant! We also watched a short film to find out more about Roman life in the past, the history of the palace and how the remains were rediscovered under a field.

Her grand total raised was £450.  Well done Scarlett
