Year 4 explored how they can use magnets for useful reasons. They investigated how to create their own locks using materials given to them. They realised they could use a paperclip and magnet to make a working lock for a door!
Huge congratulations to our Year 6 netball team, who are county champions after winning the county finals. This is an outstanding achievement, and we are immensely proud of your dedication, teamwork and success.
Our Year 6 girls won the partnership area finals last night and are now through to the Sussex County finals to represent the whole Southern Area! They were unbeaten and won the tournament with 7 wins and 1 draw against the other schools who had all also won their own local tournaments before Easter. This is a fantastic achievement. Well done to everyone in the team.
Year 4 had their first science lesson on magnets. They carried out different investigations and were surprised at how strong some of the magnets were. They asked their own questions and carried out their own investigations to find out the answers.

We are very proud of the Year 5 children for leading our Easter service so well in church this morning. The children brought the Easter story to life through drama, poems and song. It was a lovely way to end our spring term.
Year 3 had a fantastic morning building their very own robots! We explored many moving toys made by Stephen, our robot inventor, who then showed us how to make our very own moving machines! We then added details to our robots which really brought them to life.
Early Years finished the term learning about the importance of the Easter story. We had an Easter breakfast to celebrate each other and our time together. Carl Cooper came from St Mary's church to read us a blessing. We had a lovely time. Happy Easter!
Year 4 have been on their exciting trip to Drusillas animal park as part of their Rainforest Rescue topic! They took part in a brilliant workshop, and had the chance to see so many fantastic animals! Well done Y4 for all of your hard work throughout this topic!
This week, Time To Dance club performed at the Worthing Pavilion alongside many other fantastic schools. Both groups did extraordinarily well, and blew away the audience with their skill, enthusiasm and passion for dance. Well done to all the children involved!
As part of their DT this term, year 5 have been thinking about food that would be eaten in space. They tasted and evaluated some samples to find their favourite fruit or vegetable and flavouring. They then designed and made their own space snack. They learnt to use a knife safely to cut thin slices, added their flavouring and cooked them slowly in the oven.
