  • Salary: Salary payable at Grade 5 point 7 – 8 FTE £22,239.45 - £22,594.06 (pro rata, term time only – 38 weeks at 30 hours per week £18,031.99 - £18,319.51)
  • Working Hours: 30 hours per week. Part-time, term time only
  • Contract: Permanent

Role overview

Broadwater Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a Finance and Admin Officer to join our happy and committed office team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • A working knowledge of computerised finance systems and financial controls
  • Ability to complete work to a required standard of accuracy and presentation
  • Good knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • A commitment to undertake training and continuous professional development
  • The ability to remain calm when under pressure and manage time effectively

Clerk to the Governing Body

Salary & Hours

Broadwater CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated and professional clerk to the governing board to start as soon as possible. 

  • Salary Details: Grade 5 point 7 (£13.68 per hour)
  • Working Hours: On average 5-6 hours per week depending on Governing Body requirements
  • Location: based at Broadwater Church of England Primary School. However, off-site work will be required
  • Contract: Permanent, Casual

Role overview

Broadwater Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Attending meetings 
  • Termly briefings/sharing information
  • Liaising with the Headteacher, Chair of Governors and Committee Chairs
  • Writing up the minutes for each meeting
  • Training courses as required Governing Body – general administration

The main purpose of the role is to provide advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. New regulations require governing bodies to have regard to advice from the clerk in regards to exercising the governing body functions:

  • Provide effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees. 
  • Ensure the governing body is properly constituted. 
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements
