    • Let's dance!

      This week, the whole school took part in a live dance lesson delivered by The Royal Ballet And Opera! All children had the opportunity to learn new skills, and collaborate whilst re-telling parts of 'Alice's adventures in Wonderland.' The children took part brilliantly, and enjoyed getting creative through this experience!

    • Year 5 STEM Battle Rocket Workshop

      Year 5 had an exciting time in their STEM workshop, exploring the science behind bottle rockets! Pupils investigated how changing the amount of water inside a rocket affects how high it can travel.  It was a fantastic opportunity for our young scientists to think like engineers  and enjoy a thrilling, high‑flying learning experience.

    • Bridge making

      As part of Year 4's DT learning, they designed and created their own bridges for a rainforest tribe to cross the Amazon River. They considered how to make them strong and stable using corrugation and lamination techniques.

    • Year 6 Bikeability

      Year 6 have been enjoying their Bikeability cycle training this week in the sunshine.   We even spotted Where's Wally on a bike on World Book Day! We have had brilliant feedback about the children from the instructors – well done year 6.

    • World Book Day

      Our staff and pupils had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as some of their favourite book characters. The school was filled with colour, creativity, and plenty of laughter as pupils enjoyed spotting the different costumes. It was a fantastic way to share our love of reading and inspire our children to dive into new stories.

    • Young Voices 2026 at the O2

      The Broadwater Young Voices from Year 5 and 6 have been working hard since September learning a selection of songs and dances. On Monday, they headed to London with much excitement where had the chance to put all their hard work into practice. They had the amazing experience of singing with over 8000 other children in the O2. They spent the afternoon rehearsing and then in the evening, performed to parents and families. They were also treated to performances by various professional artists.

    • Eco Council Competition

      Last half term Eco Council decided they wanted to help the school cut our electricity usage. We decided to run a competition to design a special poster to go around our light switches and remind us to switch them off! This week Eco Council came together to judge the entries and, although it was hard to choose, we are pleased to announce that Leon, Jaxon, Lilah and Isobel were our winners! We loved your bold designs and the messages they portrayed. Thank you to everyone who entered and well done again to our four winners.

      As part of their computing unit, Year 4 learnt how to use CAD to design and create their own rainforest houses. They learnt about the key features of these houses, designed them in pairs and built them from a 3D net!

      As part of Year 4's learning about plants, they dissected flowers and sorted the parts onto their 'surgery table'. The children found the plant's eggs and pollen!
