      Well done Scarlett for completing a sponsored silence to raise money for Save the Children.  Scarlett did such a great job of keeping her sponsored silence even during her rugby session.  Scarlett had 3 tokens to use throughout the day if she couldn't communicate what she needed through written form, yet she only used two and ended the evening with 1 token left.

      Her grand total raised was £450.  Well done Scarlett

      BBC Radio Sussex Visits Year 4 for Exciting ‘Small Talk’ Feature

      We were thrilled to welcome BBC Radio Sussex to our school, where a group of enthusiastic Year 4 pupils took part in recording for the popular radio segment Small Talk. During the session, the children showcased their creativity and imagination by describing people, places, and objects—challenging listeners to guess what they were talking about!

      Tune in to the BBC Radio Sussex Breakfast Show starting Monday to hear their delightful contributions featured over the coming weeks. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our pupils’ voices and share their charm with a wider audience.

    • Year 5 Enterprise Sale

      Thank you for supporting the Year 5 Enterprise sale on Wednesday. As part of our topic, 'Let's Make a Difference,' the children have enjoyed designing and making products, all of which had to include a recycled element. There was a great sense of excitement at the sale and they managed to raise  a massive £204.35 to be shared between two charities, 'Friends of Mombasa' and 'Amplifying Voices'.

    • Year 5 Mosque Trip

      Year 5 went on a school trip to Worthing Mosque where they learnt all about prayer and the five pillars of Islam from Imam Idris. They asked lots of thoughtful questions and enjoyed hearing the answers.

      Year 3 had a fantastic day at Butser Ancient Farm where they took part in cordage, pottery, archaeology and wattle fence making. It was a brilliant day learning more about the Stone Age.

      The School Council held a bake sale in aid of Mencap.  Mencap is one of the local charities the School Council chose to support this year.  They raised £185.  Thank you to everyone who donated and bought cakes.

      The community award has been presented to Lucy and Toby.

      Lucy (Year 4) and Toby (Year 1) have recently completed the Kid’s Spring Challenge for the charity Young Lives vs Cancer. They challenged themselves to raise £100 by walking a mile every day in April. They actually walked many more miles, including while on holiday in Norway.
