      As part of Year 4's learning about plants, they dissected flowers and sorted the parts onto their 'surgery table'. The children found the plant's eggs and pollen!

    • Dodgeball festival

      This week some Year 4 children took part in a dodgeball festival with lots of other schools. They played really well as a team and made some great catches and dodges! Grayson was 'player of the match' for his superb throwing and great sportsmanship.

    • Year 4 - All about plants!

      Year 4 have started their new science unit all about plants. They created their own seed types from paper using a paperclip to show a seed. They investigated which ones would survive and which would travel the furthest. We decided the 'glider seed' would travel the furthest!

    • Year 5 visit to South Downs Planetarium

      Year 5 had a wonderful visit to South Downs Planetarium where they explored space. We watched the dome turn into the night sky, toured the International Space Station and visited the planets of our solar system. We learnt so much about our universe.

    • Year 4 Rainforest Rescue

      As part of Year 4's 'Stunning Start' into their 'Rainforest Rescue' topic, they read the book 'Actual Size' and created 5 different rainforest animals for the classroom! We used a variety of media and techniques to do this.

    • Christmas Service

      We concluded the term with a wonderful Christmas celebration at St Mary’s Church, and what an unforgettable occasion it was! Year 6 shone brilliantly as they led us through the story of Jesus’ birth with confidence, clarity, and reverence. Their leadership and hard work made the service truly special.

      The whole school joined together in singing carols that filled the church with joy and reminded us all of the true meaning of Christmas. It was a heartwarming moment of unity and celebration.

      A huge well done to Year 6 for their outstanding effort and maturity—you made us all proud!

      We would like to wish every member of our school community a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

    • Christmas Jumper Day - Dame Vera Lynn Charity, thank you

      We had a fantastic time celebrating Christmas Jumper Day and are thrilled to announce that we raised £270.00 for the Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity. This wonderful charity supports children with cerebral palsy, chromosome abnormalities (such as Downs Syndrome) and rare genetic disorders (including Angelman Syndrome and Rett Syndrome). Thank you to everyone who took part and donated – your generosity will make a real difference!

    • Year 5 create Canopic Jars

      Year 5 had a fantastic time creating canopic jars as part of their Ancient Egypt topic. These jars were traditionally used to store organs for the afterlife. The children began by shaping their jars with mod-roc, then painted them in authentic colours, and finally added intricate details using pen.
