TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY for JANUARY 2026 START

Salary & Hours

• Teaching Assistant Salary: Grade 3 (£24, 027 to £24,796.00 FTE), pro rata, term time only (£17,640)
• Working Hours: Full Time - 31.25 hours per week including lunchtime supervision (equivalent of 5 full days/week 0830 -1515)

Role Overview
We are seeking a teaching assistant to join a happy and committed team – initially in a year 2 class. The role is to support the learning of children within the school, with elements of 1:1 and small group as well as supporting the class teacher with other duties.  You will need to be patient, kind and understanding and a knowledge and awareness neurodiversity is desirable.  We would fully support the successful applicant in their professional development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• be a positive, reliable team member with excellent interpersonal skills
• have experience of working with children
• be able to motivate children and help them achieve their potential
• have good personal literacy and numeracy skills
• support the school’s Christian ethos.
